These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Accel Athletes website, athlete portal, performance analysis services, training programmes, consultations, and related digital services (together, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services

Definitions

Athlete: "Athlete" means any individual who engages with Accel Athletes for the purposes of football performance analysis, consultation, training support, or related digital services, whether on a one-off or ongoing basis.

For the avoidance of doubt, an Athlete may be:

An adult participant aged 18 years or over; or

A young participant under the age of 18 ("Young Athlete"), subject to valid parental or legal guardian consent.

The term Athlete includes any individual who uploads performance data, accesses the Athlete Portal, receives performance insights, training programmes, reports, or consultations provided by Accel Athletes.

1. About Accel Athletes

Accel Athletes ("Accel Athletes", "we", "us", "our") is a private sports performance company providing data-driven performance analysis and training support for footballers, using data from wearable GPS devices.

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Collection and analysis of athlete GPS performance data
  • Performance dashboards and reporting via the Athlete Portal
  • Personalised training programme design
  • One-to-one consultations and performance feedback
  • Ongoing monitoring and longitudinal performance tracking (depending on service tier)

2. Eligibility and Accounts

2.1. Athlete Accounts

To access certain Services, you must be provided with an Athlete Portal account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity conducted under your account
  • Ensuring information provided is accurate and up to date

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

2.2. Under 18s and Parental Consent

If the athlete is under the age of 18, Services may only be used with explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian. See the Parental Consent and Athlete Waiver.

By permitting to use the Services, the parent or guardian:

  • Confirms authority to provide consent
  • Accepts these Terms on behalf of the athlete
  • Acknowledges responsibility for supervising participation

3. Nature of the Services

3.1. Performance Analysis Services

Accel Athletes analyses GPS performance data uploaded by athletes using compatible wearable devices. This analysis may include but is not limited to:

  • Speed, distance, acceleration, and other performance related metrics
  • Trend analysis over time
  • Positional and age-appropriate benchmarking
  • Visual dashboards and written reports

3.2. Training Programmes

Training programmes are:

  • Individually designed based on provided performance data
  • Intended to support athletic development
  • Periodically adjusted based on new data submissions
  • Accessed based on Tier.

3.3. No Medical or Clinical Advice

Accel Athletes does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

All insights, analysis, and training plans are provided for informational and performance-support purposes only. You should consult a qualified medical professional before undertaking any new training programme, particularly if you have a known medical condition or injury history.

4. Data uploads and Athlete Responsibilities

4.1. GPS Data Uploads

Athletes are responsible for:

  • Uploading accurate and complete GPS files
  • Ensuring files come from their own training or match participation
  • Using compatible devices and formats as specified

We are not responsible for errors or omissions arising from incomplete, corrupted, or incorrectly uploaded data.

4.2. Interpretation of Data

While we take reasonable care in analysing data:

  • GPS data inherently contains measurement limitations
  • External factors (device placement, environment, software differences) may affect accuracy
  • Outputs should be interpreted as indicative, not absolute

5. Assumptions of Risk

Participation in football training and physical performance programmes involves inherent risk of injury.

By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You voluntarily engage in physical activity
  • You assume all risks associated with training and competition
  • You are responsible for monitoring your own well-being and load tolerance

Accel Athletes is not responsible for injuries sustained during training, matches, or application of training recommendations, except where required by law.

6. Fees, Subscriptions and Cancellations

6.1 Pricing

Pricing for Services is presented on our website or communicated directly prior to enrolment. Services may be offered as:

  • One-off purchases
  • Monthly subscriptions
  • Tiered service packages

6.2 Subscriptions

Where Services are provided on a subscription basis:

  • Fees are billed monthly in advance
  • Subscriptions may be cancelled in accordance with the terms stated at the time of purchase
  • Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise specified

No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods unless required by law

7. Use of the Athlete Portal

By using the Athlete Portal, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to access another athlete's data
  • Upload malicious files or software
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse platform features
  • Share login credentials with third parties

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for misuse or security concerns.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual Property rights in:

  • Performance dashboards
  • Reports
  • Training plans
  • Written analysis
  • Platform design and content

remain the exclusive property of Accel Athletes.

You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to use materials for personal athletic development only. Redistribution, resale, or commercial use is prohibited without written consent

9. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal and performance data are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

In particular:

  • Performance data is treated as confidential
  • Data is stored securely
  • Data relating to minors is processed only with parental consent

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services where:

  • These Terms are breached
  • Misuse of the platform occurs
  • Continued provision would pose security, legal, or operational risk

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Accel Athletes is not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • We do not guarantee specific performance outcomes
  • Liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected Services

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

12. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be published on our website.

Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
